Dear Valued Partner,
We would like to inform you that Microsoft will soon implement important changes to the subscription end-of-term process. Starting 4 May 2026, the complimentary grace period for expired subscriptions will be discontinued.
When a subscription expires, customers will need to select one of the following options:
- Renew the subscription
- Cancel at expiration (service will end)
- Extended Service Term (EST): Continue service with monthly billing and a 3% price increase
Please note: If auto-renew is disabled and no action is taken, eligible subscriptions will automatically transition to the Extended Service Term (EST).
Who will be affected?
- License-based subscriptions purchased or renewed on or after 1 April 2025 and expiring on or after 4 May 2026.
Required actions for partners:
- Review upcoming expiration dates in StreamOne Ion
- Proactively reach out to customers to discuss renewal, cancellation, or confirmation of EST
- Take action early to help customers avoid unexpected EST charges
